Greetings! My name is Gian and I am very delighted to be serving the Marlins as head coach for this year! I have swam with the Lenah Mill Marlins for the past 8 years (starting in 2017) along with numerous club teams such as the Potomac Marlins and Machine, and NCAP. I was a varsity swimmer of the Lightridge swim team and have qualified for the districts, regionals, and state championships! I am currently a nursing major in Marymount University, and I swim for Division III.
I am very excited to work with the swimmers this year! I have learnt a lot from swimming in club, high school, and college and I am very excited to share my knowledge! My goal for this summer season is to get every swimmer to improve, from times, techniques, and swimming "sense" so that we can become a strong team as a whole!
Go Marlins!
I am so excited to be back with the Lenah Mill Marlins as an assistant coach this summer! I have been swimming competitively since I was 7 years old, and swimming has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. A fun fact about me is that I have been part of the Lenah Mill Marlins since the team first started, so this team has always been very special to me.
I currently swim with Machine Aquatics, and this fall I will continue both my academic and swimming career at Washington and Lee University, where I plan to study neuroscience on the pre-med track. Over the years, swimming has taught me so much about hard work, confidence, teamwork, and having fun with your teammates.
This summer, I am especially excited to help the next generation of Marlins grow their love for swimming. I hope to help swimmers feel more confident in the water, improve their skills, and enjoy everything that makes summer swim so fun. I cannot wait to meet everyone, cheer on the team, and make this season a great one.
Go Marlins!
